YAY FSA!
There’s a lot to cheer about when you have a health flexible spending account (FSA) and know about its many advantages.
Many Ways to Save
With a health FSA, money is set aside from your paycheck before taxes are taken out. You can then use your pre-tax FSA dollars to pay for eligible health care expenses throughout the plan year. You save money on expenses you’re already paying for, like doctors’ office visits, prescription drugs, and much more. Since there are hundreds of eligible expenses you can use your FSA dollars toward, see our Health FSA Expenses list for more information.
Funds Available Day 1
Your entire election amount is available on the first day of the health FSA plan year. You can use your FSA funds throughout the plan year — as long as funds remain in your account. To request reimbursement, simply complete a Request for Reimbursement Form and submit it along with supporting documentation. The easiest way to do this is through your online account. Or if you have an iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod® touch, use our handy MyCONEXIS app. Just download the app by searching for "MyCONEXIS" in the App StoreSM.
Track FSA Activity
View your FSA information anytime day or night by simply logging in to your online account. Get detailed account activity and read important notices. See lists of eligible expenses, review answers to frequently asked questions, and find useful tools and other resources. Keeping tabs on your FSA has never been easier.

TAMING THE AH-CHOOS IN ALLERGIES
If you’re sneezing more than ever these days, you’re not alone. More than 40 million Americans suffer nasal symptoms of seasonal allergies. And depending on where you live or your environment, the allergy season can span all year.
According to the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), pollen and mold are the chief culprits of seasonal allergies. Although you can’t avoid every pollen particle or mold spore in the air, you can lessen your exposure with these simple suggestions:
Keep windows closed at home and in the car, and use air conditioning if needed.
Stay indoors when pollen or mold counts are high, or wear a pollen mask when outside. For up-to-date pollen counts in your area, see AAAI’s National Allergy Bureau. You can even sign up for email alerts or download a smartphone app that tracks these counts.
Avoid touching your eyes or nose, and be sure to wash your hands, hair, and clothing after being outdoors.
Don't hang clothing or linens outside to dry.
Wash bedding and stuffed animals in hot water weekly, and vacuum and dust inside your home often.
If you find yourself battling symptoms for more than two weeks, consider seeing your doctor or an allergist. Your health FSA funds can be used toward doctor’s visits, tests, and treatments. And, if prescribed, you can also use your funds for over-the-counter allergy medicines such as Actifed, Benadryl, or Claritin. Learn more…

FSA TIP
Unsure whether an item you purchased is an eligible health FSA expense? Start by looking at your receipt. Many stores show FSA eligibility on their itemized receipts:
CVS and Walgreens have an "F" next to FSA eligible items.
Walmart’s Universal Product Code (UPC) numbers have an "H" in FSA eligible items.
Many stores include "health items" or “FSA total” near the bottom of their receipts.
Be aware that your employer chooses the expenses for your FSA plan, so please review the Summary Plan Description for details about eligible FSA expenses.
